Jack Breen completed an integrated Master's degree in mathematics (MMath) at the University of Nottingham in 2019. While working primarily in the field of statistics, Jack developed an interest in computational mathematics, and specifically for artificial intelligence.
Jack joined the CDT for Artificial Intelligence for Medical Diagnosis and Care as a PhD student in October 2020. His research focuses on diagnosing ovarian cancer, primarily using computer vision methods on histopathology slides. This work is supervised by Nishant Ravikumar of CISTIB, as well as Kieran Zucker, Nicolas Orsi and Geoff Hall from outside of CISTIB.
