Congratulations to Idayat Salako who made it to the final round of the University-level: Three Minute Thesis Final (3MT®).  Idayat was 1 of 2 students representing Faculty of Engineering in the final round of the competition and received a £50 amazon voucher in recognition of this achievement.

The Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) celebrates the exciting research conducted by PhD students. Developed by The University of Queensland, the exercise cultivates students' academic, presentation, and research communication skills. The competition supports their capacity to effectively explain their research in three minutes, in a language appropriate to a non-specialist audience.

Idayat said that she learnt a lot from the competition and found it to be a very worthwhile and useful experience, “Personally I have learnt a lot about myself, fear, communication, and how much I can achieve getting out of my comfort zone”.
