ISBI 2012

2-5 May 2012
Barcelona, Spain

The IEEE International Symposium on Biomedical Imaging (ISBI) is the premier forum for the presentation of technological advances in theoretical and applied biomedical imaging and image computing. ISBI 2012 will be the ninth meeting in this series and its 10th anniversary since the first edition. Previous meetings have played an important role in facilitating interaction between medical and biological imaging researchers. The 2012 meeting will continue this tradition of fostering knowledge transfer between different imaging communities and contributing to an integrative approach to biomedical imaging across all scales of observation.

The main goal of this workshop is to support graduate students on their research effort by providing a local forum to present and discuss their ideas, receive critical feedback, to learn to be critical of others work, network and share experience with other students in a friendly and stimulating local atmosphere. Attendees benefit by learning about current research, engaging in technical discussions and meeting researchers with related interests. Oral presentations are assigned preferentially, but not exclusively, to PhD students in their final two years before graduation. Abstracts not selected for the oral sessions are presented in the poster session.
